Last night while saying my goodbyes I realized I should probably start a blog since I have had so many wonderful requests to email and "keep people updated". Thus the results!
I'm about to eat my last meal in the States, In-and-Out, of course. I have felt such a range of emotions over the last few days. Mostly however, I want to thank all my friends and family who have supported me nonstop and have continued to love me so much.
These last few days I really have felt so loved. I am reminded upon my departure of all the beautiful people in my life that I am so thankful for.
Leaving for the airport in an hour I think the reality of what I am doing has finally hit! Needless to say the nerves have started but I also know God would not let me do this unless I was ready. One of the awesome things i recently learned was that Atara in spanish means to tie. Interesting considering the national motto of Kenya is "Harambee" meaning to pull together.
Well here we go on a new adventure!
Next stop Kenya!
